Melissa Perkins attended Albion College, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Political Science and Women’s Studies with a concentration in Public Policy through Albion College’s Gerald R. Ford Institute. She earned her law degree at Wayne State University Law School in 2002 where she was a member of Moot Court. Melissa joined the Michigan Bar in November 2002 and is admitted to practice in the state courts of Michigan as well as U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Melissa is an ambassador for inForum and a Past Regional Representative and Past Director at Large – Finance for the Wayne Region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. Melissa is also a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Elder Law Section of the State Bar. Prior to joining Hainer & Berman, Melissa was an associate at Shaheen, Jacobs & Ross, P.C.

Melissa lives in Dearborn, Michigan with her husband and three children. She is a University of Michigan football, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers fan.
