Mike Hainer attended the University of Michigan on the Evans Scholarship, graduating in 1978 with a B.A., with High Distinction and Honors in Economics. He graduated Cum Laude from the University of Michigan Law School in 1983. While
at Michigan Law School, he served as a Note Editor of the Michigan Law Review.
After law school, Mike was a law clerk to the Honorable Richard P. Matsch, U.S. District Judge in Denver, Colorado. Upon returning to the Detroit area, he worked at Honigman Miller Schwartz & Cohn and at Ufer & Associates,
P.C. Mike founded this firm in 1990. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association.
Mike is married, has three adult daughters and resides in Bloomfield Township. He is an avid golfer and University of Michigan football fan. He is actively involved with the Evans Scholars Foundation, serving as one of its directors
at the Oakland Hills Country Club. He is a former board member and Past President of Oakland Hills Country Club. He is also a member of the Holy Name Knights of Columbus Council.
